Thrusters:

Each thruster we ship has gone through an automated, computer orchestrated, test matrix. A printed report is generated for each thruster to match the serial number engraved on its stainless steel shaft. Report copies ship with each thruster. Test data is also kept on file at the factory.

Testing includes:

  1. A thrust curve relating output thrust both as a function of power and command is generated. Each thruster shall meet or exceed the published specification.

  2. Endurance testing is performed at maximum power output for two consecutive ½ hours, first in forward and then reverse directions. This test is immediately followed by a computer generated random thrust command for an additional hour including maximum output and repetitive rapid reversals. Measured thrust during the test must always be within thrust specification or the thruster is rejected.

Product documentation includes:

1. Operations manual.
2. Maintenance manual including mechanical drawings and seal sizes.
3. System wiring diagrams and pinouts.
4. Log sheet.
5. QC test data.
6. CyVect warranty and contact information.
